Post Season Squash Ladder
A squash ladder has been created on www.ropeyladder.com for players in the club who wish to continue playing after the traditional end of season.
The "Summer Ladder" can start from 1st April and continue if players wish.
If you want to join you need to register at the site. Membership is free!

Juniors Finals and Prizegiving Night
Well done to all the juniors who took part in this years club championships. Once again the well run competition was organised by Cath, Susan and Eileen who must have one of the biggest junior club groups in Scotland. 67 juniors took part this year which is much bigger than many of the tournaments on the junior circuit.

Success for Crieff players at Central Junior Championships
Well done to those players competing at the Central Junior CHampionships held last sunday at Crieff Hydro. A large group of players from the club took part, with many fine performances. Below is a picture of the winners from Crieff.
Apply for P&K Junior Performance Squad Now!
The Perth & Kinross Performance Squad is geared towards preparing junior performance standard players for Scottish circuit events, providing a training programme that compliments the Scottish Squash Junior Excellence Programme. The programme aims to provide opportunities for young players to develop a range of skills, such as technical, tactical, physical and psychological.
The coaching programme will be led by Mark Beaumont, who has over fourteen years experience as a professional coach. Mark has a degree in Sports Coaching & Development, and is currently one of the Scottish Squash Junior Excellence Programme coaches.
Annual Programme
Due to facility requirements, the squad session will predominately be held at Bells Sports centre,
The squad sessions will total a minimum of 40hrs throughout the season, held as either a 2hr sessions on a weekday evening, or as a full day on a Saturday or Sunday. The programme for each session will be conducted by the Head Coach and/or a Squad Coach.
Each member will be required to pay in advance a nominal annual fee of £25
Selection Criteria
Be a member of a Scottish Squash affiliated club (or individual member) located within the geographical boundaries of Perth & Kinross District Council
Compete in a minimum of four Scottish Squash Circuit events in any one season
Be ranked in the top ten in their respective junior age groups (except in exceptional circumstances)
Be of a standard that demonstrates the key physical, psychological characteristics required to compete at performance level
Be prepared to make a full commitment to the performance programme
Endevour to attend all squad sessions listed

Crieff 2 Ladies Win.......at last
Congratulations to the Ladies Crieff 2 Team who won against Stirling Ladies in the Central Districts League tonight. The tie was won 5-0 with all the team playing well at the top of their game.
Rory wins Scottish Closed Championships
Crieff players did well at last weeks Scottish Junior Championships held in Aberdeen.
Rory Stewart won the Boys Under 13 championship in his first year in the age group, beating Martin Ross from Inverness 9-1 9-1 8-10 9-1.
In the Girls under 13 championship Claire Gadsby was runner-up and Rebecca McKerchar coming third behind Kirsty Lobban.
Other players who played well in the older sections were Geig Stewart and Gillian Crawford, they came 5th in the boys under 15s and fourth in the girls under 17 respectively.

David Moran & Susan Anderson 2008 Champions
We done to David Moran and Susan Anderson who tonight became club champions, beating Brian Campbell and Susan Stewart respectively. Both games were of a high standard with both David and Susan winning 3-0 in close matches.

Junior Coaching starts again!
Junior coaching starts again at the club on tuesday and wednesday the 8th and 9th January for Cath and Susies groups. Eilleen groups start the following week on monday 14th and wednesday 16th. You will get a note soon!

Scottish Junior Open
Greig Stewart, Rory Stewart and Gillian Crawford took part in the 2007 Scottish Junior Open at Heriot Watt, Edinburgh between Christmas and New Year. The premier junior event in Scotland was of a very high standard with a strong entry from India, Canada, USA and South Africa. Below are some pictures from the tournament.

All three palyed well in the tournament with Rory coming 4th in the under 13 Boys. All three promoted the Hydro by wearing their new "hoodies" which are on sale by the club!
Beatles win Knobbly Knees
The Beatles won a very close final against the "Village People". The match wasn't decided until the last match of the topurnament with Ron Wellens not managing to make up enough points from Dave Brown to win the tournament. The Beatles eventually won by 4 points.
The victorious Beatles team above who were captained by Tacey MacKinlay comprising from left to right Dave Brown, Lindsay Duncan, Tracey playing guitar!, Gillian Crawford and Jack Hadden. The team also had Jake Boyle during the week as Dave recovered from the flu.

Crieff 1 beat Crieff 2 in Colin Addison Plate Final
Crieff 1 beat Crieff 2 in the Plate Final on the 25th November.
Congratulations to both Crieff teams who have reached the plate final of the Colin Addison Cup this year.
To reach the final Crieff 1 defeated Stirling University, while Crieff 2 won against Glenalmond.
Stewarts at the Junior Nordic Open
Greig and Rory Stewart played at the Nordic Junior Open in Sweden in late September. Both were been picked to take part in the European ranked
tournament by Scottish Squash. Both boys are part of the elite Scottish Squash Academy Squad this season.
Rory played in the under 13s and won 4 of his 5 games finishing 9th overall.
Greig (on right) played very well in the under 15s event which attracted a large entry of 53 players.
He finished a very good 16th overall especially after being unlucky to lose two five game matches!
Well done on playing so well in the super series event in Malmo!
Mini Leagues Started for the Season!
The new mini squash leagues are ready for this month.
Remember to
